Looking for a little advice on kit please, preferably people with experience with this kit, i have a 60d with 70-200mm 2.8, 24-70mm 2.8 ,90mm 2.8 50mm-1.8 that will do a full frame as well as crop, and a 10-20mm for a crop body, 580 ex11 and 430 ex11. I do a couple of weddings and just sold my extra body to fund a new camera/s.
Now the question is, i have been doing some gymnastics and have the opportunity to do more events, partly as fund raiser, and part profit as i can print on site and sell.
Looking to upgrade kit and would like some advice as i can change to 1diii and a 5dii both second hand, 1d for the sport and 5d for weddings, or keep the 60d and get a 5diii that can hopefully do both, does anyone have experience of the 1dii for sport at high iso can it produce good results at 1600/3200 ?, the 5dii can do weddings without issue i know, just not sure, thanks paul.

the 1d series is designed for fast action shots and will always be better in that regards compared to the 5d.

the 5d2 has awful AF and you have a 60d atm so you should know what to expect in that department.
I dont understand why you would never need to go that high on ISO with the lenses you have.

Because even lighting that looks quite good to human eyes can have a camera struggling at f1.4 and ISO 3200?
 
yes as woof woof says some gyms have poor lighting and really tests limits of 60d, it has higher iso than 1diii but was looking for some advice from the guys that have and use this for sports, i.e quality of images at higher iso i know the af is much better and tones should be superior also, i wouldn't think i would be doing huge enlargements, but if i needed to for some promo stuff it would be great.
 
Keep the 60D and get a 5d3. The 5d3 will be very good for both and the 60D can be a backup in case you run into problems.

You'd get more fps with the 1d3 but the AF system in the 5d3 is very close in spec to that of the 1dx.
