A couple from last week, one against the water and the other with reeds as a background

Well caught in flight Stan - sharp and detailed feather structure on both
- I prefer the first image because I find the plumage a much better white, the second looking a little grey to my aging eyes!

Good captures Stan, great feather detail and control of the whites, agree the white is 'purer' in #1.

#2, but it looks like you went a bit heavy w/ the highlights adjustment.

See one, sometimes two, from time to time in Bushy Park. Very hard to get close to, even with 400mm lens. So well done for these images. Prefer #2 purely because I am not a big fan of images where the subject is flying away from the photographer.

Well the angle of the bird in the first, is more away than the one in the second
