Live view on iPad

Does any one know if it is possible to connect dlsr camera to an iPad to get a live view of an image captured so you can see it larger than the small screen on camera? I'm not talking about uploading images to iPad, I'm wanting to see the image as I capture it, like you can on a laptop

6d will connect to an iPhone via wifi I believe, it will allow you to see live view on the iPhone & control the camera from the phone. Logic then says that it would work on the ipad as well, but don't take my word for it!
