you need a wider aperture a miles higher shutter speed and to rape the iso some,

to fix the bg after a higher iso shot mask out the black and run loads of NR on it as any softness won't show up but it will help with the noisyness massively

like the idea a lot though, I'd fix the wb as well

a shorter shutter might bring out the patterns in the light a little better too
