Having never visited Nantlle I had it planned in my head I was going to do a sunrise there sunday morning. well I woke up unassisted by the alarm and with a raging headache at 3.30am so up I got and out I went. Stopped at Ogwen to take a few MW shots on the way across but wasn't over keen on any of them.
It was clear it was not going to be a colourful sunrise due to the sheer lack of clouds, but with no wind and a fair bit of mist lingering there was still a chance of capturing something. Well I rocked up at about 5.45am to a mirror calm lake and patchy mist flowing across it. The composition has been done a lot but this was my take on it during the blue hour as the light slowly begins to break through behind the peaks and the last segment of the moon reflects off the water.
