Loading photos to iphone

Hi guys i am a bit dim when it comes to the techi stuff,i want to put some of my pics onto my iphone from my mac book pro,i have tried drag and drop but does not want to know,
So can some of you clever guys help me please,

In itunes click on your iphone and a tab will appear for photo's, just tell it what folders you want to be synced and away you go
