Hi all,
I wanted a few prints on a quick turn around the other day so I popped into town to get them done.
Now, I had a choice of boots or an indipendant set up. I am all for supporting local buisness so I elected to give the indipendant guy a go.
He has some great prints up in the window and offers short turn round etc etc so all looked promising. I loaded the images I wanted onto an SD card and off I went.
To my surprise, he took one look at the SD card and said "I cant take those, CD or nothing as far as digital is concerned. If you want to print from that go to boots". I asked if he'd take a USB pen as I didn't want to burn a CD, and I got a no. :bonk:
Now, this really surprised me, as I would have thought that he'd be trying to compete with Boots who are only just down the road. He didn't seem bothered at all.
I would have thought in this age of digital photography, printers would try to offer the ability to take as many formats as possible. Especially if they want to compete with the big guns like boots, and all the online services.
Am I wrong in thinking this? Maybe I fell victim to a die hard film only printer/photographer.!!
