Locations around Burnley ?

Hi

I'll be in Burnley next Monday afternoon. Does anyone know any good locations to shoot around there ? I'm happy with anything - landscapes, buildings, places of interest. Thinking about it, I'm desperate to shoot a waterfall, if anyone knows any in that area.

Postcodes would be handy, although that might be asking a bit much

First thing that springs to mind is the "Singing Ringing Tree" - http://www.visitburnley.com/countryside/SingRing.php - fairly good spot if the weather is good.

As for waterfalls I think you might be struggling but will have a think.

OK I know it's not Burnley but not that far away is Bolton Abbey. Has some nice parkland around the old Abbey buildings .

It's about 25 miles away

There are 4 "Panopticons" (worth googling) around Burnley. I've only been to the Singing Ringing Tree so far myself.

I love going to Burnley (as its the team I support, come your clarets in the prem!).

Bolton Abbey is a good place to go for the day, you can get a few good pictures there but it is a long way. Heres some photos I got from there...
Theres also White Coller, that has great old building to see.
