North England Locations near Leeds

I have to spend a few days in Leeds in late January/Feb for work. I know Leeds fairly well and will probably wander around the city a bit, but has anyone any suggestions for landscape locations within an easy drive (say 30-60mins) of the city centre?
Alternatively, suggestions for places I can hit on the drive north to Leeds from East Anglia?

At that time of year there won't be much daylight so you don't want to spend too long driving
 
Bolton Abbey, Grassington, Brimham Rocks. Look into any of the Dales villages and towns.
