Good evening everyone, I am planning a road trip on Tuesday or Wednesday to Loch Lomond and national park and was wondering if any one has any information on the area and surrounding lochs, I like the look of Loch Katrine and some other areas, Any help would be very much appreciated.

Loch Lomond is a massive loch and has an equally massive reputation in the tourist industry. The trouble with massive lochs is that you often need to cover an awful lot of ground to significantly change your viewpoint.

Over Aberfoyle way (The Trossachs as that area is called) has numerous small lochs that are very photogenic. Loch Ard, Loch Chon etc.

Just above Arberfoyle is the Queen Elizabeth Trail, (i think thats what its called) a Forestry Commission trail that is compacted road, that takes you around a few smaller lochs and is quite scenic, and parking places to head off for a perfect viewpoint
