Hi ive recently bought a remote shutter release for my nikon d80. it has the function of Lock-in continuous shots but i can not get this to work. is there something i have to set on the camera or is it a faulty remote shutter release? :help:
if any one can help it would be most appreciated ;),
thanks sam

Is the release the sort that plugs in the small socket on the side of the camera? If so then assuming I understand what you're asking correctly, I think you just need to set the camera to continuous and as long as the release is pressed (or locked), it will keep taking the shots.

yer it does go into to the side of the camera. i lock the shutter release but it only takes one shot.

Sounds like the camera is in single shot mode - you can check that by pressing and holding the camera shutter release, if it only takes one shot, then that will be the problem, and changing to continuous mode will fix it. However, if the camera shutter release takes continuous shots but the remote only single shots, then there's an issue with the remote release.

Well if the camera works in continuous when using the camera shutter release, but only does single with the remote it does seem to point to the remote, certainly my MC-DC1 wired remote works as expected on my D80. Is yours a wired or wireless remote? I guess wireless as I wouldn't think a wired one would only take single shots.
