Hello,
I am completely green having only used point and shoot cameras. I bought a Canon EOS 200D. I tried to "flip out the LCD Monitor" and it won't move. There is nothing in the Manual that addresses that problem.
I hope it is just stupidity on my part and not a defect in the camera.

Thank you in advance for your advice,
Angster

I don't have the 200D but I have the 70D which has a vari-angle screen. Looking at the back of the camera, grasp the screen from the right edge and pull towards you. It's hinged on the left so should fold out across to the left. If you've given a good tug and it won't move, there may be a problem in which case contact the store you bought it from.

Have a look at the following image:

It shows the notch where you pull out the screen. Put your finger in that notch and use your fingernail to pull the tab forwards and the screen should swivel outwards. You can then twist the screen to get it to the angle you want.

Thank you both,
As i suspected, it was stupidity on my part. I had a leather case bottom attached that was interfering. I will shave it down. What a great forum.I am happy top be connected
Angster.
