I was very interested in the idea of Lomography when I saw their display at Photokina the other week.

I just wondered how many Lomography addicts inhabit TP?

I'm an 'accidental' lomographer :D

I was just wondering for those that are doing it , the sort of film they are using?

Yes, that is what I thought. So I guess it's bin ends, boot sales, that sort of thing?

out of date E6 slide film, maltreated - left in back seat of car in summer, exposed in a light-leaking, plastic lens monstrosity like a Holga then processed in C41 chemicals usually does the trick.

If you like that sort of thing.

Sensible mode:
Kodak slide film does tend to be a little more predictable than Fuji if you're cross processing it. Can't remember which of the fuji's it is, but one of 'em just goes pretty much all magenta, another one is almost all green. Okay if you want to look like a Doom Berzerker mode, or if you've shot with an image intensifier, but not much cop for photo's - lomo or not. I vaguely remember Provia F 100iso being quite reasonable though.

I love the idea of it, but there's no way I would ever want to go back to film. I just can't be arsed with it, and I wouldn't even know where to get it prosessed.

I can achieve the same effect with my own camera and photoshop anyway.
:)

I like it. I got a Fisheye2 a couple of years ago, which is good fun and can produce some nice effects:

I must get some more film and get shooting again - it's an easy habit to get out of, seeing as I've got a perfectly good DSLR and compact which are always ready to go. It does become a hassle tracking down some film, loading it (which I'd all but forgotten how to do!), only having 24/36 exposures, getting the film developed and then scanning the results.

Ive had a go a couple of times in PP. Im the same i couldn't buy a film camera and get it processed but if you manage to get some good shots on a DSLR you can do a few tweaks in PS to give a lomo look! You can even add light burns in as well as most of the old Lomo cameras leaked light to a massive extent!

I usually equip something like a 35mm f1.8 and take some really detailed RAW shots then you have so much freedom, but by just playing with the satuation and contrast you can get a lomo look and it's easy to add a vignette as well, have a look online for tutorials?
