London Camera Exchange plans to open a new store in Park Street, Bristol.
Wow - three LCE shops in Bristol!
Didn't know that - I noticed that Baldwin Street hasn't re-opened but failed to spot Broadmead. The other two have closed, the new store is the sole one left now

Quite possibly!I wonder if it had anything to do with the upcoming Clean Air Zone charges and vehicle bans
Richer Sounds have also moved to majority employee ownership quite recently.Remind me a lot of Richer Sounds
Pretty much. Even in London, most of the old-school shops have gone, apart from Cameraworld and the secondhand and single brand specialists. The only "proper" camera shop left in town.
Nothing but postives from me, now my go to camera gear company. Excellent.
I don't know why MPB get so much stick... they are fine 95% of the time. 5% of the time they require a little bit of chasing to get things done but overall they are still good.
I've tried to buy things a couple of times. Once for various reasons I had to call to make the purchase, but having tried to call multiple times over a couple of days I could NEVER get through, and the lens eventually sold. When you call LCE there is always someone to answer in working hours. On a separate occasion I bought a lens for my wife's camera, but it was faulty on arrival (described as mint iirc). The replacement - I was assured it would be tested before despatch - was also dead. With LCE you can call and they will check the actual lens for you while you're on the phone, even taking and sending test photos.
That's why I wish MPB were like LCE.
