London Olympics 2012: DSLR restrictions

oh god, here we go. Please stop with the potentially insulting comments and off topic discussion. This is a useful thread about using cameras at the Olympics....not any politics behind the games themselves....any other posts on that subject may be removed.

It would be nice if the comment was directed at the person concerned. This started off, simply because I thought that people who were going to the Olympics/missed out on tickets, maybe be interested in the programme concerned.
I did post this at the end of a relevant "on topic" post.
 
My comment wasn't aimed at anyone and was a general post for anyone concerned.
 
Other than general views of stadiums or if you are lucky enough to be near a photo position, you won't get many decent photos. If you have tickets, just go along and enjoy.
