Do you guys know some nice spots to take photographs of the arenas? I walked around Stratford today and unless you have permission to get into the public restricted area I couldn't find a decent spot to take photos of the Stratford site.
 
3rd Floor John Lewis.
London 2012 shop has viewing gallery over the whole Park. Though unfortunately behind glass :(

Don't want to open another Thread so I just put another question into this one since it is related to the Olympics.

I found out that the Torch will pass by Holland Park this Thursday and I was planning to go there and try to get some shots. Any suggestions which lens or any good spots?

Lenses to choose from:

Canon EF-S 18-55
Canon 17-40 f4L
Canon 24-70 f2.8L
Canon 50 f1.4
Canon 85 f1.8
Canon 100 f2.8L
Canon 70-200 f4L IS

paired with either 5D MK I or 50D
