Hi guys and gals. Long time lurker.

This was my first attempt at on street photography.

It was taken on the banks of the Thames. PP involves crop and straighten. Convert to b/w and noise addition. I was attempting to make it in a similar vein to the old film photos I used to process at College.

Any tips etc would be appreciated.

Title says it all! very striking image. Maybe if you pulled the shadows back slightly on the guy.
 
Hiya Gaz,

Indeed a very lonely place to be and a very powerful message captured in your photo too.

The whites seem a tad bright for me, perhaps slightly over exposed, especially to the top of the frame. Maybe applying a very gradual filter to that area will benefit the photo :shrug:

I also think application of a faint vignette will add to the shot.

Well done though on capturing a very touching and emotional situation.
