Just coming back to this Mike.

I thought it's worth mentioning, the 2nd shot is an excellent reference shot, showing a couple of good key features for ID between LEO's and Shorties.

As well as the obvious difference in eye colour, LEO's have black wing bars on the tips of the underside primaries and the streaking down the chest extends down the belly to its legs.

Shorties have solid black tips on the underside primaries and the streaking normally stops around the chest area, leaving a clean belly.

I've seen the discussion more than once, I've even had it on Flickr meself so it might be of use to someone
