Hi folks,

I was out at the beach earlier and haplessly tried to get a long exposure with a combination of ND8's, f/16, ISO100 and so forth, squeeked my way to 1/10th and it didn't work.

On a wim I decided to set the interval shooting thing going, made the camera take 25 pics a second apart, and merged them in Photoshop. Really impressed with how it turned out, the water wasn't moving much so even conventionally it wouldn't have that silky look, but non the less it looks as hoped:

I dunno what the size limit is for posting pics here so I made them pretty small :bonk:

Good thing about doing it this way too is that I didn't get the quality loss associated with lots of filters and long exposure noise, and I masked out the non-water areas so they are just single-image quality.

They are brilliant ! I love them !!!

Very nice idea, how did you stack all the images together, did you just set the layer opacitiy to 4% for each (which is 1/25th of 100% of course). I'm interested in trying this out myself, and just pilfering your idea lol

I put the first image as the background then added the other 24 ontop at 10% opacity each. 10% seemed to work best.

I used a Droplet to automate it.
