Long Forgotten

I took this last week and thought it might work as an experiment in making a shot look old. It was taken on an Olympus OM-10 using Ilford HP-5 b&w film.
So, does it work on any level?

Processing works Andy, but (for me) the subject doesn't, it's just way too busy, my eyes are wandering around the image looking and failing to find some reference points.

OK, thanks Les. I do see what you mean, the cross does blend into the bg quite a bit.

I kinda like it, looks like an old picture from the '20. Agree with the cross been blended with the background but still I like, maybe a little more punchy BN would add something to the shot.

yep...it all becomes one level...quite busy...works for the old look though!

Thanks Danmon, I may try scanning the negative and inverting it as that seems to make the image look really old.
