Long-tailed Duck

Had a trip out today to have a look at this fellow, it's a male first winter long-tailed duck. Below are a few shots of this bird I took as it was looking for food. All shots taken with the 300 f4 + 1.4 ext. Hope you like.

Hey some nice pictures, is it worth using the converter on the end? Cos ive heard bad reports from them and just wanted to know peoples views.

Thanks all for your comments. Dellipher, I use the Canon 1.4x converter/extender with this lens and with it being an f4 lens the AF is not lost as it only goes to f5.6, so yes I find that it is worth using. I've not tried the 2x as yet, but this would make it f8 with loss of AF.
