Great capture, sometimes you just get lucky.
Did he suffer any damage? I had a company fit a split link chain on my bike once when it should never have one fitted. That came off about 6 miles from the shop, luckily at slow speed, but took out the chain guard, rear fairing. I dread to think how much that would hurt if it hit the rider.
