Looking at pictures on Windows or Mac

The image was sRGB and not sure about the calibrated screens but I have also been told from another forum that my pictures look different on a Mac and PC..........just woundered why

sorry thats twoddle. if both screens are calibrated they should look much and much the same (providing the image is sRGB which browser support).

Big white chief speakum truth....um:D

Came across this at the weekend. I dual boot my MacBook between OS X and Linux. Images I've put on the web look fine when I boot into OS X, but in Linux the white balance is all screwed up. Exactly the same browser is being used on both (Nightly/Firefox 9.0a1 - an alpha version, so I've no right to expect that works properly)

Funnily enough when I virtualise the Linux and run it directly under OS X the images are fine, but I realise the virtualised Linux will be using the standard default calibration from OS X at this point.

The screen is not calibrated on either OS, and all images are sRGB.

I checked the screen settings and cant see the twoddle button anywhere.....................maybe I will ask Apple where to find the twoddle

Some older browsers do not deal with colour profiles correctly. All modern ones do on either OS. If your works PCs are running older IE then that COULD be the answer. Most likely it is a calibration difference as has already been said though.
