Looking at this canon 5D

Aha! Sorry :bonk:

The one Ffordes have is £749 with grip. They offered a 6 month guarantee with a lens I got from them so may be worth checking with them for the camera. Also they are excellent for telling you the exact condition of an item if you give them a call.

I have looked at Ffordes but no cables ect with them

Fairynuff. £100 for box and cables is the buyers decision.

Will have a poke around and see what else I can dig up :)

I sold my 5D with grip for the same price a year ago! im sure you could find it a little cheaper somewhere..

Cheers guys i appreciate all your help as i am looking to order today.:)

Looking at this from Ffordes but no manual:(
Gripped

Condition

Signs of use
Description

With charger and two batteries only, no software, leads or instructions.
Price

£749.00

Give them a call and see what 'signs of use' exactly amounts to with this specific body.

As for manuals - sure you can get the official one online, and the unofficial ones can be better!

Box and leads - generic leads - I never even touch mine. Box will affect resale value but doubt by £100!

All depends on description of signs of use. Would trust Ffordes as have dealt with them in past.

I am talking to steve at Ffordes via mail & so far it is sounding good.:)
A few more answers to follow then i will be happy.:)

I know that a manual is a nice thing to have but I'm sure that we all know what we are doing well enough and would be able to work out even the finer points of any SLR in pretty short time and you can always download a PDF of the manual.

Ordered,thanks guys.:)

Wahey! You are going to LOVE the FF goodness (you already knew that!).

Nice one. Look forward to seeing some results from it. Just off out with mine now :)

Cheers m8 have a nice day out.:)

I walk past the 5d in question every day and its still listed at £800 which, in my opinion, is about £150 too much given what they go for on here and other classified ads

I got mine gripped £749

I have to say i am very dissapointed with the service from Ffordes,i had to send my 5D back to get a new focus screen fitted & it is taking an absolute eternity to get my camera back.
I wont buy from them again.:bang:

:( Sorry matey. Are you sure it is them and not the service supplier taking an age?

Makes no odds really they are the ones that supplied the camera & they are the ones i sent the camera back to so no more buying from them in the future.

I have always found Ffordes to give pretty good customer service. An example would be when we were buying a 5d for my gf, they had one at £900 and one at £950 (it was only a year and a bit ago, how the price has dropped!), both boxed and everything so I called them up and asked if the more expensive one was in much better condition? They told me no so we went for the cheaper one, not a lot of places will do themselves out of an easy £50.

They also were more than happy taking back a Nikon 24-120mm lens that had nothing wrong with it, I just thought it was *****!
