Looking for a Camera Shop in or around Birmingham

Hi

I am looking to buy myself a new camera, not sure what I need and could do with visiting a shop where they won't mind spending a little time helping me out. Any ideas?

Hi there,

Theres a Jacobs Digital in the city centre, and theres bound to be a Jessops in the city centre too. Theres also a branch of Calumet on Hagley road just outside of the city centre.

I couldnt specifically recommend any of them as Ive not visited any. However I did find the service and advice on offer from Calumet in London very good, hopefully it will be the same in Birmingham :thumbs:

Calumet have a studio facility that they let me use to have a play with a lens I was considering buying and the staff seem very knowledgeable.


Jacobs again were helpful when I used them and seemed to know their products.

I havent used Jessops in Birmingham so cant comment.

The Jessops in Birmingham is huge and they have a lot of gear on display, and a whole room just for bags :clap: well worth a visit. Last time I was there they had that £10k Pentax MF body on show.

I went to Jessops on Temple Row when I was looking for a camera, the staff there were more than happy to take the cameras out of the cabinets and let me have a play.
