At the moment ime still using an original Benbo but i think the time has come to change, the only ones local to me i can view are manfrotto so i have no idea of the quality of other makes.Presently i am using a sigma 120-400 on a gimbal head, the hope is it will be replaced soon with the Tamron 150-600 and would like a working height of about 150cm without the center column.
Budget for the legs only, well i would like change from £200 and have no idea how good carbon fiber is so any help would be appreciated.

Thanks

mike

I'll be interested to see any replies about this and please do let us know about the Tamron when you get it.

Will do just waiting for Nikon fit

I wouldn't go carbon fibre with that sort of head because frankly, you want some weight lower down imho
alto pro are okay, if you don't want a manfrotto
red snapper have a good rep but you hear different things
my main advice is steer clear of the cheap imported CF ones including the Jessops one. I had 3 and then got a refund..

Haven't decided against manfrotto in fact the 055 is a strong contender although not quiet as high as i would like, its just i have not seen or handled any others so don't want to miss a good one.
