Looking for a radio trigger for Nikon SB900 that also enables TTL

Not really looked at these for ages but i did hear PW were going to be making them that also enabled TTL, i've also heard radio poppers are good and have the TTL facility, so what are you guys using, and are their any good cheaper alternatives to the above ?

IIRC with the Radio Poppers you really need an SU800 to get the most out of the system which brings the cost up to parity with the Pocket Wizard system.

I have no experience of the Pixel triggers, but if it was my money (and none of the systems are "cheap") I'd far rather put it into a proven product than an "Ebay" product...

Radio Poppers are a bit clumsy, a piggy-back system that also requires a donor Canikon unit to provide the feed data. They then translate the light signals to radio and they work.

PWs don't need a donor and they add cool tweaks like Hypersync, optimised high speed/FP sync, and optimised second curtain sync. There have been serious reliability issues related to RF interference, and while these now seem resolved, one way or another, some people still get unlucky.

Have a look on www.robgalbraith.com where there's a lot about the PWs for Canon, and also about the newer Nikon jobbies.

Edit: FWIW, I'd get the PWs. In fact I nearly did on a couple of occasions, but in truth I just don't need them. If you do need what they offer however, especially things like Hypersync, then they're brilliant.
