Can you lovely people point me in the right direction for a good quality zoom for my Nikon d7000. It is probably the lens I will use the least so I am not looking to spend big bucks here. Would like it to compliment my Tamron 17-50, 2.8. Will probably be looking for 2nd hand. Need to spend under £200. Any thoughts? Sarah

I have a Nikon 55-300 that I use quite a lot for outdoor sports which works quite well. You should be able to pick up a secondhand one for your budget. I don't know if this is what you're after as you haven't said what you plan to use it for:shrug:

depends on how far you want to zoom tbh. I use an old AF-D 70-210mm on mine and i love it, they can be had for as little as £60-70 or so. thats the 4-5.6 version, they do an F4 version which you will probably be able to pick up cheaper than £200. Alternatively the old 70-300 G lenses can be had for similar money, i can't comment on them as i've never used one i'm afraid!
tair 300mm f4.5 at 50ukp (up to 150) and an adapter for 15+ ukp ish... (the one with infinity)
