Hey Guys,
This is my first post ever and i am looking for help and advice. I recently came into some money (not much, i have about 5 grand to play with). My idea is to spend this money on a printer that is capable of large canvas printing. I have a couple of friends that are accomplished photographers, and one is a web designer. Between the three of us, if a printer were aquired we'd have everything necessery to start a small business printing portraits and such.
We understand that there are literally millions of similar companies out there and competition would be huge. So our general business plan is to offer a more personal service ie instead of just recieving the image and printing and shipping, we plan to go to the client and 'capture' their moment, be it horse riding, skiing, playing in a band etc.....
Trouble is i have no idea on what printer to buy and if indeed £5000 would even be enough?
I would love to hear peoples thoughts on this in anyway you think, from the printer issue to the business idea in general. As i'm sure some of you guys know alot more about this than me right now!
Many thanks
Brendan
