Hi All,

I usually only take landscape shots, but I am fascinated by some of the creative shots I see on here, like water droplets and stuff.

Does anyone have any ideas for something I could have a go at? I'm not an expert by any means. I don't have a proper flash, just the onboard flash on my 30D. Have a tripod and remote release though.

Thanks,

Dom

Light painting small objects- f29 - 15sec open shutter in dark room, play around with small light over choosen object, great fun

plenty of idea's on you tube

If you want some different light-painting is the way to go, and then you can also incorporate in your landscapes at the same time! Check out my thread Link and see what I've recently started, cheap and cheerful as well!

I agree with alphabet soup^^^ - the people who post in creative are a bunch of show-offs, and can't resist telling everyone how they did things

Oh - i've moved this thread to Talk Basics, as the creative forum's really only for picture threads not for discussion topics.

Oi :bat: I'll have you know MWHCVT actually has meaning

Smoke patterns? Use joss sticks and a black background. Flash is best in darkened room.
Post processing options in PS include "inverse" and "colorise"

Maybe not something to have a go at anytime soon but if you're interested in landscapes & what creative things can be done with them via photography take a look at Jerry Uelsmann's mind-blowing work. Inspirational. Best wishes.

What can I say it's my name and my location in one little acronym :D

Is it a competition? Is there a prize for the best phrase to fit the acronym?

I've been looking at some of these and they look really interesting. Do you think it would work with my camera's on board flash, or would I need something a bit more substantial?
