Hi, although I presently live out of the UK, I'm planning on acquiring a new camera back home when I visit in September (beneficial exchange rates and all that). Rather than throwing money at the great South American river, I'd rather spend money locally. Can anyone recommend a good UK online retailer for camera gear?

Depending what you are planning to buy most of those named above, and most of the other official outlets, possibly at the request of the manufacutrers, operate some kind of price-fixing system so you won't find any price competition between them. A quick example chosen at random is below -

The only way you can really save is from a "Grey" importer.
Some of the better ones are hdew, Panamoz and Einfinity.
