Ordered The Photographer's Eye: Composition and Design for Better Digital Photos by Michael Freeman from Amazon today and am really looking forward to reading it.

has anyone in TP land read it?? What did you think of it if you have?

Cheers
Gary

It is a very well written book that gives a well structured insight in to composition.

I've read it twice now, and pick up something new every time.

I have it, but unfortunately tend to start reading one then start another, so usually end up in the middle of 5 books at the same time!

From what I've read so far, it's very good and well worth purchasing :)

Yup - good book. Sometimes quite hard going but definitely worth a read.

Not as hard going as my current book though - Ansel Adams, The Negative. Bloody good as well.

This book is excellent.

I'd say if your photography does not improve after reading this then you should probably give up :D.

I have bought 3 copies of this book, two were given to my sister and a work colleague - both keen photographers.

It is a very good book... Even if you just have it as a 'coffe-table' piece! I've had several friends look through it and enjoy it for it's visual delights.

i'm ashamed to say i have that sitting on my bookshelf and have not got round to reading it :(

Thanks everyone.

To my amazement it turned up this morning (Superb service from Amazon UK) so I will be taking it to work tonight (yeah I have the joy of working New Year).

Yes i have it, i will get around to finishing it one day as it's a very good book.

Nice to know i'm not the only one who does this :D

I ordered mine at the same time as the now well fabled Understanding Exposure. I've read it twice now, but still haven't started the other! :cuckoo:

Looks like this will be my next purchase.
