looking to get a 70-300 or an 80-400. will it fit a D60

Hi guys, as title suggests, I'm looking at getting either one of the lenses. Will the fit though?? And does anyone know where to get one cheap?

Yes, that link is to the 70-300 blah,blah,VR AF-S. The magic letters for the D60 (and others) are AF-S (for Nikon's own lenses), HSM (for Sigma lenses) and I forget what the designation is that Tamron use.
Web images can never really do any images real justice but here are a couple anyway.

was taken with it on a D70 at 300mm. 1/500th, f/10.

was at 220mm, again on a D70. 1/500th, f/10.

Fabulous lens.......second hand ones normally go for around the £300 mark. Look in the classifieds on here or ebay.

From my experience, stay clear of the 80-400 regardless. The 70-300 is a cracking lens and will definitely work on your D60. Cheaper as well.
