Looking to replace my current 18-55 kit lens....

....but am not too sure what to replace it with? I currently have a 50mm f1.8 and a Sigma 70-300 that both work very well with my Canon 350d.

I have been looking at the Sigma 17-70mm as I think they are reasonably priced and if it performs as well as my other Sigma lens I will be happy?

Anyone have any views or opinions on these or any other suggestions as what would be a good lens?

Hi Dave,
have you read the reviews of the Sigma 17-70 lens on www.photozone.de?
You could try the Canon 18-55 IS which is very highly regarded by them (same site) and you could pick one up new for £110 or S/H for about £70.
As always, it depends on what you want to shoot but I wouldn't sell my 18-55 IS.
