Lost in thought

I like the composition of the child in the frame, I think the harsh sun has done you little favor with this, the shadows are just too dark.

a real "nearly shot" for me. could be soooo good but it just doesnt work in my very humble opinion.

most definatly worth another try though cause on a different day it could be a cracker(y)
 
Was trying for a high contrast shot, but sounds like you think the black/shadow is over done.

I actually like the high contrast. Without it the pic would have little impact.
