Lost passwords in Firefox

I don't mean I have forgotten my passwords rather that I no longer need to login and enter a password for forums/websites where this was the usual means of access.

I use Firefox and recently it appears to have changed re usernames and passwords. Email accounts, forums(including TP) and some, though not all, other sites normally needing a username and a password, not longer need them.

Eg, now if I click on the bookmark for TP I get straight in without needing to to use my username and password

I have just tried Chrome and the usual means of access to TP and other forums and sites are still working normally so it looks like it is an issue with Firefox

Has anyone seen anything similar and have any suggestions of how I can fix it?

Perhaps I'll just have to move to using Chrome.

Thanks

Dave

Thanks Suz. I looked in the Settings and can't find anything that looks as if it would cause me to be logged in automatically. Whenever I am asked to save a password I always reply 'No'

You should be able to delete all the ones it has saved so far. The saved passwords button in privacy and security should take you to all the ones it knows about. There's a tick box about asking to save passwords. If that is on then it asks so you can say no. I always save mine so if it has changed in an update I wouldn't notice. I think you can also add a list of websites where you never save passwords in there so it won't ask and won't save them either.

Then if you keep hitting no and then check the list in about a week you can see if it is still saving them.
