one mojo :'( How can I get it back please?

I've quite lost my mojo of late. Have recently only been taking my camera out when it has been "obligatory" - end of term dance show etc. I am trying to join in with MD's lessons but :gag: really not entering into the spirit of it.

Help please

Just take pictures. Look at what you've taken, think about aspects you like even if the picture as a whole isn't a keeper. Then go and take more pictures, with a focus (no pun intended) on whatever it was you were interested.

Just don't wallow in apathy, that helps no-one.

If you have the time and money for it, take a trip somewhere. It doesn't have to be to the other side of the planet, just get away for a bit and bring the camera. What do you usually shoot? Try something oposite of your normal stuff, perhaps? Go to the countryside to shoot some wildlife or landscape, or rent a boat and do some experiments on seabirds and\or boats? Go to a larger city and shoot some streetlife?

Or, look at somebody elses work to get some inspiration - go back to basics and make the basics work - that's what I did earlier this year when I thought I'd lost the "bug".

Hire a lens that you've never used before, could be ultra wide angle, ultra telephoto or just ultra fast, and then go and see what you can shoot.

I've recently been leaving either my 50mm f1.8 or my 10-20 on the camera and going out with just that lens.

In fact, I think I'll even bring it in to the office tomorrow just for fun!

Steve

Thanks for the suggestions guys

take a trip somewhere.
Perhaps I should be a tourist in my local town.

Steve - I often do that just go out with a fixed lens as it makes me "see" harder!!

This might help ;)

I joined my camera club at work.

They have monthly competitions between the members with a theme each month. in the 4 months I have entered I came 3rd, no place, 1st, 1st :-) I am inspired :-)

Having a deadline and a theme forced me to think about my photography, forced me to go out taking pictures.

I am really enjoying it....

I think there are quite a few web sites that have weekly competitions, have a google :-)
