A newer Elise this time, think they are much improved with their styling. Hope my images do the car justice! Images have lost a bit of sharpness (facebook compression sorry!).

They are all good shots but I'm really liking number 2 due to the angle. Can I ask how it's shot?

The motion blur looks really disconcerting and unrealistic. Is that what you were going for?

I take it these were not shot on a rig?

thanks, 2,3 and 5 are shot using a rig to attach the camera to car. its then removed in photoshop.

shot on a rig. the blur is all natural (in camera), no VR etc.

Nice set, the only one I don't like is #2.
My favourites are #1 - nicely lit, love the composition (P.s. what did you use for lighting?), #4 again nicely lit and from rigs I like the last shot most as it hasn't got as much tree distraction as previous and less reflections. Lotus owner will be happy with these. Thanks for sharing!

thanks for the comments, the compression has done an awful job on no.1 really must stop linking from fb!

Mike I realised Andrew shared the image and put it on his cover photo though to be honest i sold my rig pro boom some time ago. Its a great boom and works well but I wasn't doing much with it so sold it then missed it but went for a carbon one to replace it.

Imo, theres not much difference in terms of what end result you can get with these booms - but just prefer the ease of use and safety of the carbon (less weight), even though it costs a fortune!

Thanks, no.1 was lit with an overhead strip box, wanted to be overhead to give that shadow and make the car look a bit more edgy. i blended a couple of exposures to pull in a little bit of texture to the tyre tread. Quite a simple shot.

I like the pic of the cockpit most. Others seems a bit too futuristic to my taste, but all nice in fact.

There's something in the car rig moving shots that just doesn't look right to me. I know they were done with a rig, but to me they look like they have been done PP. I can't put my finger on what's wrong though.

I like the static shots, even though Facebook has mushed them - can you not use your own webspace or Flickr? It seems silly to have such top-notch gear (and work of course) totally undermined by lousy JPG compression.

The rigs shots seems strange - I don't know if it's an unfortunate combination of background and angle or just the processing but the trees in 3 have gone almost painting like and there's odd shadowing on the number plate.

What's your technique for rig shots? Pulling or pushing the car?

Thanks for your comments. The third one was deliberately processed like that - like the car popping out of a painting. Something a bit different I tried perhaps not to good effect.

I will be getting my own domain and uploading from there soon, up til now though I've been shooting for prints rather than online portfolios hence the facebook uploads.

Anyway, heres a few more static shots I did as it got darker...

sorry, another no.2 dislike from me. I seem to be drawn to the bright sky in the centre of the frame.
All others are fantastic. No.1 especially. very creative lighting.

I like the interior shot the best from the first set. Probably the first one in the second set is my favourite but would like a bit more detail in the trees.
