Lee, I thought your shot would look so much better if it didn't look quite so static; a slower shutter-speed might be worth trying for moving bikes next time?

I had a quick go at it. I quite like it but maybe some wouldn't

I like the idea, but think you should have masked it before blurring looks better without the people.

Yes I did mask the bike at first but the effect of the pin-sharp bike on the blurred background just didn't look right somehow. It's much easier to get the required effects in camera, but I do love to noodle around in Photoshop. All good experience!

patrick, i bought a magazine from whsmiths , it cost 7 quid and explains all techniques in photoshop 6 and 7, love it, really worth buying or ordering a back copy... if i find it i will post its name on this thread.

its made by the same team who make digital camera and photoplus in case you cant find it
