Looking to try out some low level flying photography in Scotland and from what I can work out St Marys Loch in the borders would be the best place to go. What day of the week and at what time is it best to go there and is there a specific point in the area to position yourself at. I do not want to go climbing the wrong hill :)
Any other locations I should try?
Marking down in my diary the 11th September at Leuchars for my first airshow

Thanks Rob, great site for info on the borders. I think it will be Paper Hill on Saturday I think weather permitting.
Do many fly through on Saturdays or is midweek best?

Can anyone confirm that low level flying takes place on Saturdays in the Borders.

Going to Trowgrain Middle in the morning and then Paper Hill in the afternoon having looked at the info on Warplane website.

I will take a 12-24 lens just in case nothing flying through and settle for landscape.

No low flying at weekends, only happens during the week. Annoys the neighbours :-)

Thanks Andy & Pete, I will have to arrange a day off work then.

Pity as Saturday looks like good weather so will think of somewhere else to go.
