Purely image quality wise if your after a small resolution picture are you better to shoot with the camera set to low resolution or shoot at full resolution and then shrink it on your computer. If its is shrink it on your computer what program would you recommend? Are there any that use fancy algorithms to take the best data when shrinking them or do they all simply just cut out the unwanted data? Thanks

Photoshop has different algorithms to optimise enlargements and reductions, but really... does it matter?

For low-res jpegs, quality isn't an issue, so I'd set the camera to create them alongside the RAW files or large jpegs.

lol thanks Anorakus i did not think that one over to well before i asked it

ALWAYS shoot hi res on the camera - It takes seconds to reduce the size afterwards, but you can't add pixels when you need them.
