Hi there,
I'm currently using a Lowepro Fastpack 250 but now I need a full sized bag (without the day pack section) to store new kit:

2 DSLR bodys (with lenses attached up to 70-300mm)
another 2 or 3 lenses
flashgun
and compartments for memory cards etc.

A laptop section is desirable around 15.4" but not essential.

If anyone has any suggestions (that dont push the £100 mark) then I would really appreciate help as simply google and shopping around hasn't given me much luck.

Thanks in advance :)

same question and same budget! But only one DSLR, a 15.4 laptop, a tripod and two lenses... Thanks!

does it have to be lowepro?

i ask this because there is a bag made buy a company called "GEM" and you can get them from eBay or amazon and they are brilliant quality for £35, its essentially a lowepro computrekker without the branding and it can hold a laptop that you would like.

alternatively you can get a new lowepro pro runner 300 which seems to hold the equipment you want it to however it won't be able to hold a laptop.

hope this helps.

I use a Lowepro Vertex 100AW loads of space for £89 warehouse express.
fits all my gear inc 150-500mm on the body !

@SkyQPic - If that's what you are after then the Fastpack 250 I have at the moment matches your description.

@mastertrinity - Thanks for your help and I will check out the brand you mention and the Pro Runner 300 is one of my shortlisted, just need to find the right sort of price now. Thanks for your help.

@Graham00 - I think I have looked at that aswell, or the Vertex 200. I'm flicking through the Lowepro catalogue as I speak.

Thanks WP-UK!

Just have a look at the Fastpack 250 but it's not waterproof like...Vertex 100/200 seems to be a good choice.

Thanks.

Lowe Pro bags are just weatherproof apart from the DryZone series (which are a pain to get into...and the zips have to be carefully lubricated and maintained to keep them functional - I've gone through four DryZone bags where the outer waterproof zips have broken).

The AW-series have weatherproof zips and a fold-out rain-cover, but are not immersion-proof...

I've just picked up a Lowepro Flipside 400 it has a pull out rain cover and with a little arranging of the padded inserts will hold a gripped D300 plus Sigma 100-300 hood reversed(not far off Bigma size) and a gripped Fuji S5Pro with Nikon 17-55 2.8 hood attatched. With this bag the access is from the rear.

I don't have a recommendation that'd make anyone happy, too cynical for the jackals that haunt internet forums, so my only advice is to find something that does exactly what you need well and buy it. People who don't buy what they need because of budgets often end up spending more in the long run when they replace the pack/tripod/lens/flashgun they bought to save money with the one they should have bought in the first place :)

I've been there and done it, so urge others to avoid my mistakes. It doesn't take long to save up an extra £50.

(For the record, the packs from Thinktank, and the Kiboko are supposed to be very good, though I could never get past the two-panel design of the Kiboko. Didn't think much to the Vertex series from Lowepro, they're very well made and fully featured, but the empty-weight is already high and that just adds to the burden for a weakling like me. I have yet to find a bag I'm happy with, but when I finally do I'll buy it regardless of cost. Currently using a Lowepro Mini Trekker AW and Domke F3x and am resisting the temptation to buy a pack that'll accommodate all my gear because I'd simply be unable to lift it!)
