Hi All,

I have been looking at getting a waterproof cover for my Lowepro Fastpack 200.

My problem is that all the waterproof covers that I have looked at have the size in litres so I have no idea what size I would need to get to fit my Lowepro Fastpack 200.

Does anybody know what size would fit?

Thanks in advance.

Take care,

Keith

I found that a 40-60 litre was to big for my Fastpack 350 so a 20-40 would probably be fine for a fastpack 200 :)

I'm a bit confused here, can you not just measure the Lowepro and work it out from the size or do you not have the bag with you?

If you don't have access to a bag I'm sure you will get sizes on the net somewhere?

Well if I knew how to work out the size I wouldn't have asked this question ;)

It's very easy to calculate the capacity - measure the width, height and depth in centimetres then multiply w x d x h. This will give you a result in cubic centimetres - divide that by 1000 and that's the answer in litres.

If you take the maximum allowable size for carry on baggage, 56cm x 45cm x 25cm, you get 63000cc which is 63 litres. To make it even more relevant, a Google finds the measurements for your bag - 31.5 X 20.5 X 46 cm which means that the volume is 29704.5cc or just under 30 litres.

Once you've calculated the volume, you can go to the camping shop with the camera bag and ask to try the cover on your bag giving yor calculation as a basis for the size you need..
HTH.

Sorry,

from the Lowepro website (Fastpack 200 External: 31.5 W x 20.5 D x 46 H cm)

Volume Equals WxDxH = 29704.5cm

1litre = 1000 cubic cm

so vol = 29.7 litres, which probably ties in with mrgrubby's findings.

edit; need to type quicker
