Hi guys :)
I'm wanting a bag along the same lines as a Flipside 200, I've been but off that one due to awful 'back compartment entry'. What I did like about the Flipside200 was it's shape - taller than wider, tripod holder in the middle of the back and even a drinks holder (all must haves). I've been through the Lowepro website and not found any other pack that I thought was suitable. Has anyone got any other suggestions from other makes?

Equipment to store:
dslr + zoom lens
1 extra lens
tripod
few small bits..
NO laptop space needed

Not to pick on your writing but i didn't understand this part : I've been but off that one due to awful

With your gear you don't need a big camera bag just buy a lowepro aw 190 or 200 IMO.

He obviously meant "put" not "but". If you couldn't see that, your failure is greater than his!

I like the Lowepro 200, have you tried one out in shop, you might find that it is not as bad as you think?

The Lowepro 200 is decent though you won't fit a tripod in there. To be honest unless you have a very small tripod I don't think there are many bags that will. You can probably fit a tripod to the outside of most though using utility straps etc.

FWIW, I went for the Tamrac Adventure 6 over the LW200 for a couple of reasons. Firstly I wanted something that didn't didn't look like a camera bag (for when I'm around town). And secondly it has a compartment in the top that can take bits and bobs, a waterproof, filters kit etc...

Sorry about the spelling Michael I was rushing :)

John, I guess I could check them out next time I'm in Jacobs, they even have a few tripods that looked fairly compact when closed. Maybe even combine the two to see if they look ok.

Graham, I was hoping to strap the tripod to the back of the backpack, I'm sure the Lowepro allows this, but I'll take a look at the Tamrac Adventure that you mention.

Thanks guys
