I am currently using a Dell D820 laptop and I have a Huey Pantone montior calibrator but nothing seems to work!

I placed my first order and recieved my prints back.

On inspecting the prints and them comparing them to my screen, my photos on screen are near enough exactly the same as the corrected ones I have been sent.

The non corrected set are mostly all too dark! but they do not appear on my screen this way.

I have spoken to Loxley and they could only help me as far as when I place orders to place instructions in the order.

I am confused should I carry on editing photos as I see them on screen then ask for colour correction?

This may be confusing but I am confused myself at what to do

I always get them to colour correct, they colour correct your images to their equipment and their printers!

I also do all the PP'ing and make them look good on my calibrated monitor but still do the above!

Regards,
Carl.

same here - I figure that if they offer to do this steep, and do a good job of it why not. Asking them to colour correct has never caused me an issue

Cheers

On inspecting the prints and them comparing them to my screen, my photos on screen are near enough exactly the same as the corrected ones I have been sent.

So the prints they have sent you match the images on your computers monitor?

That is the way to go, get them colour corrected.

So carry on editing as I see them on screen then get them to colour correct

I was starting to feel like I should not be printing photos!

They use printers calibrated to sRGB so there is no profile required.

I had the opposite problem, I got prints twice that looked nothing like the images I sent to them. Now I don't ask for correction and I get exactly what I see on my calibrated screen.

The advice I received form Loxley was to get my screen calibrated so that it matched their non-corrected images and then don't get them to correct them. Works for me.

Hi Pete,

Thats exactly what I was told today by Loxley, make your images on screen look like the non corrected ones but there is another issue there, I cannot make my screen adjust to these parameters due to my graphics card or lack of!

So colour correct it is
