Luminar 4

I have just got an offer of an upgrade from luminar 3 to 4 for £36.00.
I use Adobe cc ( lr/ps ) but wonder if its worth getting luminar 4 while its on offer .
Any thoughts

It's pretty good if...

a) you have a lot of time on your hands
b) you're editing very small batches of photos

My PC is comfortably powerful enough to allow me to edit 1000+ 42mp files in Lightroom with almost no lag, yet one of those files can take literally a full minute to export from Luminar 4, and editing is no quicker.

I regret the purchase big time, they went all out to sign up photographers to spread good reviews early on (somebody here, even), not one of whom mentioned the speed issues. The moment it was released to the public it was the number one complaint.

Agree that speed is an issue. Not so much editing but exporting, and you can’t export to flickr which is a pain. There is supposed to be a release shortly (it’s already delayed) to improve speed issues. It has some nice features and I switched from Lightroom but I’m not an intensive user- although more so since lockdown!
