M4/3 with older lenses

I have a Panasonic GF2 and was wondering what other lenses can be used with or without the use of an adaptor besides the standard lumix lenses. I am interested to know if older manual focus lenses can be used. My Dad has an old Olympus OM1 and a bag of lenses for it and it would be good if I could mount them on my GF2.

Easily, cheap ebay adapter or one of the 3 Genuine m4/3 - OM (2 Olympus, 1 Panasonic) can be used to attach Om lenses.

Zuiko 50mm f1.8 makes a lovely portrait lens on m4/3, and a Minolta MD 45mm F2 is a super sharp gem, stuck on some extension tubes you've got a really good cheap macro kit with it.

Make sure you enable shoot without lens in the menu or it'll just say "please make sure the lens is attached correctly" when you try using it.

Pretty must any SLR lens will mount with a simple adapter because the registry distance from lens to sensor is so small, on the flip side Nikon has one of the largest for 35mm so almost no other lenses will mount on a nikon and focus to infinity without an optical adapter.

I've been using my Canon FD lenses almost exclusively with my G2 for the last month and a half.

I've barely touched my 5D in the meantime

e2a: I must admit, if I had to rely on the rear screen only (the G2 has a built in EVF) it would be less fun, especially when handling some of the zooms.
