So do you want to mount M42 lenses or minolta lenses? You haven't made it very clear.
M42 mount is easily adapted to EOS, the cheap adapters work fine.
Minolta isn't so simple, you need optical elements for infinity focus which can be more expensive and will degrade optical quality.

It's possible but not worthwhile.
Like I said, the adaptor requires optical elements to achieve infinity focus.
This makes the adapters expensive and/or they degrade the quality.
Unless you're looking to use the lens for only macro/ stuff close to you, it's not really worth it.
