M42 Adaptor

I'm thinking of purchasing an M42 adaptor.

I would welcome any advice - type (focus confirm, metering) and suitable vendor (I'm a bit baffled by the range on e-Bay).

A seller called Photobits42 on eBay does M42 > EOS mounts in both AF Confirm and non- AF Confirm.

He can also sell you one without a flange for lenses such as Takumar's which may hit it with Auto stop-down blade.

He offers an excellent service, and the adapters are of an excellent quality. They're also machined correctly to give the correct clearance from the sensor so you get perfect inifity focus. The same can't be said for some adapters you buy off eBay.

I buy my adapters for my Canon 40d from amazon at £2.49 but they have no electronic gizmoz, it's all manual!

Those adapters from Photobits42 look very good! May have to try one of them! 5609 sales and 100% feedback!!!
