i bought a pentacon 70-210 last week and when i fitted it to the camera it worked fine a few times but then it gave me the message 'camera error' and it sounded like the mirror wasn't lifting properly. my first thought was that the back of the lens was interrupting the path of the mirror, but subsequent searches have said that although other brands can suffer from this problem the sony bodies are immune to it.
so have i found the exception to the rule with my camera lens combo or could there be another problem? the adaptor came with a helios 44m lens and it hasn't missed a beat since i got it.
any thoughts?
